Indonesia-Malaysia confrontation

Sukarno opposed the formation of the Federation of Malaysia and mention that it is a "neo-colonial plan" to ease the UK commercial plans in the region. In addition to the formation of the Federation of Malaysia, this is considered to expand the influence of Western imperialist countries in Asia and provide a gap to the UK and Australia to influence the regional politics of Asia. Responding to the UN's decision to recognize the sovereignty of Malaysia and make Malaysia's non-permanent member of UN Security Council, President Sukarno of Indonesia announced his resignation from membership of the United Nations on January 20, 1965 and founded the New Power Conference (CONEFO) as the counterculture as the counterculture of the UN and GANEFO Olympics.
